This award recognizes a student nurse who has achieved excellence in academic and clinical performance while serving the South Florida Hispanic community or patient population. Two letters of recommendation from educators and/or clinical preceptors and a college transcript with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 are required. Nominees must have completed a minimum of two semesters in an accredited nursing program.
This award recognizes a nurse who has made outstanding contributions to the health care of the South Florida Hispanic community or patient population in any health care environment with evidence of innovation, creativity, leadership and/or advocacy.
This award recognizes a nurse educator for achieving outstanding accomplishments in nursing research, nursing education, and service to the South Florida Hispanic community.
This award recognizes the exceptional leadership and outstanding professional contributions of a nurse clinician in shaping the role and advancing the practice of nursing by promoting NAHN’s continued dedication to the highest standards of nursing practice with an emphasis on the Hispanic community.

This award honors extraordinary contributions to the nursing profession over a sustained period through distinguished service, steadfast leadership, exceptional mentorship, effective advocacy, and innovative efforts that have had an enduring impact on institutions that foster commitment and dedication to the Hispanic community.
This award honors a nurse who has contributed to the improvement of health of the Hispanic South Florida community. To qualify for the award, the candidate must show evidence of policy or program involvement, distinguished community health practice, or publicly recognized commitment to improving the health of the Hispanic South Florida community.
